16.07.2019

The Faculty of Forestry of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) together with the Faculty of Economic Sciences and the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering are participating in the international project EGEA, Enhancing Green Economy in 3 countries of Asia under the Erasmus + program.

The project is implemented in 2019-2021 and includes support for the Kyrgyz Republic, Nepal and India.
Currently the socio-economic development of these countries is largely based on the consumption of natural resources. Therefore, they face challenges that threaten their future sustainable development including depletion of natural resources, loss of basic natural ecosystems and stagnation of human capital.

The aim of the project is to “identify and then define the possibilities of supporting the skills necessary to implement the green economy in various target groups (students, teachers, specialists, young generation) and for various thematic areas”.
