09.01.2020

Cafe Nauka (Science) and the Student Society of Laboratory Diagnostists of the Jagiellonian University Collegium Medicum (Jagiellonian University Medical College) in Krakow are inviting participants on January 14, 2020 to a meeting devoted to the growing resistance of bacteria to antibiotics.

It is estimated that at least 700,000 people die a year as a result of drug-resistant infections. How to stop the growing resistance of microorganisms to antibiotics? What actions should be taken? Is there any alternative to antibiotics? – these questions will be answered by the participants of the Cafe Nauka Extra event.

The discussion will take place in the Auditorium Maximum of the Jagiellonian University and will be attended by: Dr Jadwiga Wójkowska-Mach (Department of Bacteriology, Microbial Ecology and Parasitology UJ CM), Dr Agnieszka Cios (Department of Clinical Pharmacy UJ CM) and Dr Joanna Chłopicka (Department of Bromatology UJ CM).
