Wroclaw University of Science and Technology receives PLN 1.65 million for projects from the Sonata competition

Three researchers from the Wrocław University of Science and Technology received grants under the Sonata competition. The National Science Center will spend PLN 1.65 million on their research.

The financed research will be carried out by: Dr Eng. Marcin Poręba – “Proteolytic analysis of breast cancer using mass cytometry for the purposes of personalized oncology; Dr Eng. Róża Goścień – “Optimization of wireframe optical networks with the use of network modeling and prediction tools” and Dr Eng. Marta Rudnicka-Bogusz – “Architecture and urban planning of nineteenth and twentieth-century military development complexes in the northern and western Poland: typology, stylistics, use and revalorisation of bands”.

The Sonata program is a competition for people with PhD titles- obtained from two to seven years a year before the application. It aims to support innovative basic research using modern equipment or an original methodological solution.
