Wrocław University of Science and Technology to launch Aviation and astronautics

In autumn, the Faculty of Mechanical and Power Engineering at Wrocław University of Science and Technology will launch a new academic course: Aviation and astronautics including classes with an experienced pilot, courses, internships and diplomas in cooperation with the largest companies from the aviation industry.

The university has announced two specialties. The first – Propulsion and airframes specialty will focus on the design, construction and operation of aircraft with particular emphasis on aircraft engines. The program includes theory, design and research of aircraft propulsion, aerodynamics, diagnostics in aviation, aircraft design and combustion in aircraft propulsion.

The second specialty Avionics and control will be focused on hydraulics, pneumatics, electric control systems and communication systems. In addition to the basics of building planes, students will have classes in on-board installations, programming basics, basics of microcontroller applications and radio-electronic devices.
