The construction of an Intelligent District Heating System, the optimisation of the operation of the district heating network in Lublin, the education of students, doctoral students and employees of the Lublin University of Technology (PL) and the development of the staff of the Lublin District Heating Company (LPREC) are the objectives of an agreement that was signed between the university and the company. The signatures to the document were affixed on behalf of PL by the Rector, Prof Zbigniew Pater, and on behalf of LPEC S.A. by the President of the Board, Marek Goluch.

The agreement provides for close cooperation between LPEC S.A. and the Lublin University of Technology in the field of scientific research, technological innovation, training, as well as the exchange of knowledge and experience between scientific personnel and specialists in the heating industry. 

The aim of the cooperation will be to design and implement new technologies and technical and organisational solutions that will contribute to increasing the energy efficiency of the district heating network in Lublin and reducing CO2 emissions.
