A scientist at the Wrocław University of Technology wins the Siemens Award Competition

Dr Krzysztof Brzostowski, from the Faculty of Computer Science and Telecommunications, the Wrocław University of Science and Technology, won a promotional award in the XXVI Competition for the Siemens Award. The jury appreciated his habilitation thesis on signal processing algorithms in-stream data fusion. 

The laureate completed his master’s studies at the Wrocław University of Technology in 2003. In 2009, he presented his doctorate at the Faculty of Computer Science and Management, and in 2021 obtained the degree of associated professor. His habilitation thesis “A series of thematically related publications on signal processing algorithms in streaming data fusion” won an award in the Siemens competition.

The laureate’s scientific interests are related to the methods of non-linear signal processing, time-frequency methods of signal representation, techniques and sparse models as well as fusion of data streams.
