07.09.2021

The AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow has signed an agreement with IBM and the Educational Research Institute, becoming a partner of the international P-TECH (Pathways in Technology) educational and professional development program.

The main goal of P-TECH is to support local communities by preparing young people to work in IT professions, adequately to the needs of the labor market in the 21st century. The multilateral educational initiative of P-TECH provides young people with support in the development of scientific, technical and professional skills. This is an example of the best use of multilateral public-private partnerships where students from technical and general education schools can also develop in the professional environment.

As part of the program, students of the Bartłomiej Nowodworski 1st Secondary School of General Education in Kraków for 4 years will obtain qualifications in programming quantum computers, which are in great demand on the market. The Krakow City Hall and the Quantum AI Foundation have also become new partners of the program.
