A typhlo-map of the campus was created at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków. It is a tool thanks to which people with sight defect can move around the university premises.

The information on the map is written in Braille. In addition, the map is supplemented with an audio commentary, from which we will find out how many floors a given building has and whether it has amenities, e.g. for people in wheelchairs. Contrasting, clear markings are also very useful. University buildings, dormitories, streets and bus stops are marked on the map.

The typhlomap was prepared by a team working at the AGH UST Office for Disabled People. The map was created as part of a project implemented at the Academy called the Academy of Accessibility – Strengthening the potential of AGH in supporting people with disabilities.
