Cluster of Photonics and Fiber Optics receives the status of a National Key Cluster

Coordinated by the Polish Center for Photonics and Optical Fiber in Lublin, the Cluster of Photonics and Optical Fiber has just obtained the status of the National Key Cluster.

In order to obtain the status of the National Key Cluster, the organization is obliged to meet criteria of the initial substantive assessment, the substantive parametric assessment and the assessment awarded by the Panel of Experts as part of the competition announced by the Ministry of Development and Technology for the status of the National Key Cluster.

Key National Clusters are clusters of significant importance for the Polish economy and high international competitiveness.

The Photonics and Optical Fiber Cluster operates in the area of ​​advanced light technologies. The aim of the cluster is to build a strong Polish photonic sector through the transfer of native technologies to industry, forming specialized staff and extensive cooperation.

The cluster includes companies from the Lublin region and the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin.
