Collegium Civitas conference devoted to economic fraud risk management

10.05.2018

“Managing the risk of economic fraud – requirements in the context of proposed legal regulations” is the title of the conference organized by the Center for Social and Economic Risks Collegium Civitas, which will be held on May 21, 2018 at the Zielna Conference Center in Warsaw.

The conference aims at bringing closer the changes of the protection for persons who report violations of EU regulations under the new EU Commission rules.

As explained in the Collegium Civitas information, the protection of persons reporting cases of violation of law in the European Union is currently fragmentary and inconsistent. Only 10 EU Member States provide full protection for such reporters. In other countries, the protection is partial and refers to specific economy sectors or employees.

During the conference, participants will be able to hear the following lectures: “The role and legal position of the Reporter”; “Reporting cases of using banks’ activities to commit crimes” or “Investigative audit – an innovative approach to detecting and preventing abuses in an organization”.
