Competition for the Award of the President of the Stock Exchange settled

For the ninth time, the WSE Foundation in cooperation with the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE) has settled the competition for the WSE President’s Award for the best bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral thesis. A total of 108 theses were submitted for the competition, including seven doctoral theses, 53 master’s theses and 48 bachelor’s theses.

In the bachelor’s thesis category, the first prize was awarded to Jakub Chlebda for his thesis ‘Investment portfolio management during a panic’. The thesis was defended at the Kraków University of Economics.

In the master’s thesis category, two first prizes ex aequo were awarded to: Paweł Pomorski for his thesis “Investment in equity instruments during periods of increased inflation in the United States’, defended at the Warsaw School of Economics, and Jakub Ratajczak for his thesis ‘In search of alpha. Analysis of investment portfolio efficiency

using alternative data’, presented at the Kraków University of Economics.

In the doctoral thesis category, the first prize was awarded to Arkadiusz Bebel for his thesis ‘Determinants of returns on LETF funds’. The thesis was defended at the Warsaw School of Economics.
