The Pomeranian Medical University, the University of Szczecin (US) and the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin have established the West Pomeranian Doctoral Student Agreement. The initiative aims to integrate the community and organise scientific and cultural events, reports US.

“It was not the authorities, not the teachers, but the students themselves who came up with the initiative, which is a great contribution to the development of science in Poland. Such an agreement is something to boast about, we are proud of you for taking responsibility in such a way and understanding the development of science. This is why we organise doctoral schools, to support science. Cooperation between our universities has always existed, but now it will be more visible, and the effects of our interdisciplinary research will serve us all”, says US Rector Prof. Waldemar Tarczyński.

Similar agreements were signed in Łódź, Krakow, Warsaw, Poznań, the Tri-City and Wrocław. Young scientists from Lublin have also recently come up with a similar initiative.
