Dr Jan Koleśnik awarded for the best scientific book publication in banking, money and finance

The work “Banking system risk. Sources and instruments of reduction” by Dr Jan Koleśnik from the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) was awarded as the best scientific book in banking, money and finance in the competition for the Award of the President of the National Bank of Poland (NBP) which is held every three years.

The aim of the fourth competition, announced on September 10, 2021, was to select the best scientific book publication in banking, money and finance, as well as to improve the quality of economic publications and to promote the most outstanding of them. The three key criteria for selecting the best publisher include an innovative approach to the subject, a scientific and research workshop and the level of work communication.

Dr Jan Koleśnik is deputy director at the Institute of Banking of the Warsaw School of Economics. He specializes in banking supervision, prudential regulations, banking law, banking operations, as well as the European banking system, financial markets and monetary policy.
