Dual studies are effective combination of learning and work

07.03.2018

Our goal is to more precisely adapt curricula to the needs of the market. Dual studies allow students to combine learning with work effectively through simultaneous participation in teaching at the university and working at the workplace. This way, students acquire new skills faster and more effectively – said Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Gowin, Minister of Science and Higher Education during the Second Conference on Dual Education – EDUAL in Gliwice.

In December 2017, the National Center for Research and Development, the executive agency of the Ministry of Science, announced a competition aimed at adapting curricula to the expectations of future employees and their employers. The recipe for success is to run an effective combination of learning and work, in terms of implementation of the Edual education programs. The contest’s budget is PLN 100 million.

The EDUAL conference was organized by the Silesian University of Technology and the Katowice Special Economic Zone and the city of Gliwice.
