26.11.2021

Forty-four scientists of the Silesian University of Technology were included in the group of 2 percent most influential researchers in the world in terms of the adopted citation rates of their publications.

This is the third ranking, started in 2019 on the basis of the publication in the PLOS Biology journal, created by authors from Stanford University, Elsevier publishing house and the American research and development organization SciTech Strategies.

The ranking includes the names of 2 percent scientists ranked on the basis of the adopted indicators for the evaluation of scientific achievements, such as: Hirsch index, number of citations, Impact Factor as well as the role and place on the list of authors.

The ranking is divided into two lists. The first, Table-1-Authors_career. It covers the scientific achievements from the entire period of the scientist’s professional career. The second list- Table-1-Authors_singleyr – concerns only one year – 2020.
