The Planetarium of the University of Bialystok (UW) has opened a special room with a 7-meter-diameter semi-spherical screen, seating 32 people.

“The most important element of the equipment is a modern fullldome digital projection system. Additionally, two projectors constituting the Navitar Fisheye (USA) optical system with 4K resolution enable the generation of high-quality 3D and 2D images. The sound system is provided by Sound Surround 5.2”, informs Dorota Sawicka from the Center for the Popularization of Science at the University of Bialystok.

In the Planetarium, guests can watch ready-made presentations and films, as well as conduct an interactive “live” project. Viewers have the opportunity to take part in a very realistic journey through the solar system thanks to the Shira Universe software.
