The Lublin City Hall, in cooperation with five Lublin universities, has prepared a report that shows from where young people come to study in the city.

The research covered the period from 2011 to 2021. During this time, a total of more than 220,000 young people from all over Poland came to Lublin. Over 72% came from the Lubelskie Voivodeship, 9% from the Mazowieckie Voivodeship, over 7% from the Podkarpackie Voivodeship and nearly 5% from the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship. On the other hand, the fewest students came from the Lubuskie (0.1%), Opolskie (0.11%) and Zachodniopomorskie (0.16%) voivodships. The Podkarpackie voivodeship had the largest percentage of female students enrolled in Lublin in the analysed period – 70.47%.

Foreign students arrived in Lublin most often from Ukraine, Belarus, Taiwan, Norway, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia and the United States. Thailand had the highest proportion of female students from these countries (74.31%), while Nigeria had the lowest (12.21%).
