Gdańsk local administration launches Pomeranian Platform for the Development of Offshore Wind Energy in the Baltic Sea

In Gdańsk, the Pomeranian Platform for the Development of Offshore Wind Energy in the Baltic Sea was established. The declaration on its creation was signed in the Gdańsk Marshal’s Office by over 20 representatives of local governments, universities, companies and institutions of the Pomeranian Voivodeship. One of the signatories is the Gdynia Maritime University.

The parties of the declaration intend to cooperate in the area of ​​development and use of the regional research and development potential and preparation of human resources for entities participating in investments, because the development of the offshore wind farm sector is one of the strategic directions of transformation of the Polish energy sector.

Another important issue is also creating conditions for strengthening the participation of domestic entities in this process by increasing the share of future investments in the supply chain.
