Gdańsk University of Technology will implement the project “Optimization of teaching and pro-innovation processes at the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering”. It is the first project awarded to the university in the Science for Society program organized by the Ministry of Education and Science.

The aim of the project is improving the quality of academic didactics and adapting teaching methodologies to the expectations of modern students, strengthening the competences of research teams in providing research services for the economic environment and commercializing research results, as well as raising public awareness of the subject, quality and success of research conducted at universities.

In the project, financing will be provided for grants for the implementation of didactic innovations and for the implementation of pre-implementation works, analysis of the patentability of inventions as well as competitions and workshops for primary and secondary school students. The value of the project is almost PLN 1.4 million.
