Students of the Silesian University of Technology won the competition ” Soczewki Focusa 2017″ presenting their spokeless hybrid-powered bike . The young engineers “printed” their invention on a 3D printer and won the main prize in the category of technical innovations.

The innovative bike has a foot drive, if necessary supported by an electric motor. The battery has been placed in the frame of a two-wheeler. The prototype consisted of over 300 plastic parts printed on 3D printers. The target structure is to be made of aluminum or carbon fiber – bicycle designers are looking for a business partner to start its production.

“Soczewki Focusa” is a competition aimed at selecting the best Polish innovations. The organizers choose the most interesting technologies created in Poland.
