Kraków hosts QuantERA network conference

Scientists, employees of research funding agencies in the field of quantum technologies and representatives of the quantum industry from Europe met in Krakow, Poland, at the QuantERA network conference.

QuantERA (ERA-NET Cofund in Quantum Technologies) is an international network coordinated by the National Science Centre (NCN), which connects 39 research funding agencies from 31 countries and has been supporting quantum technology research in Europe since 2016.

The network promotes ambitious research on cutting-edge engineering in the field of quantum technologies, supports collaboration between scientists and research funding agencies, monitors quantum technology activities and strategies, and creates guidelines for responsible research conduct.

During the conference, the effects and progress of work in projects funded in QuantERA competitions were presented. Polish teams are involved in 29 of the 77 projects that have received grants in the three QuantERA competitions.
