Lodz University of Technology signs agreement with Curtin University in Perth

The Technical University of Lodz and Australia’s Curtin University in Perth have reached an agreement, which is the first step towards collaboration. The partnership is the result of talks between the authorities of both academic centres, which began during Expo 2020 in Dubai.

The signing ceremony for the agreement took place remotely via internet links. The document was signed by the rector of PŁ, Prof Krzysztof Jóźwik, and the Marshal of the Łódzkie Voivodeship, Grzegorz Schreiber. On the other side of the globe, the document was signed by Prof Seth Kunin, Deputy Vice Chancellor Global responsible for international cooperation of Curtin University, who was accompanied by Prof John Evans, Pro Vice Chancellor and President, Curtin University Dubai.

The first projects under the ERASMUS+ programme are already being planned as a platform for transferring good practices and combining the research and teaching potentials of the two universities.

Curtin University educates more than 50,000 students and employs more than 3,000 academic staff. It is among the top 1 % of universities in the world.
