Lublin University of Technology to launch a research center for pro-environmental and energy-saving materials and CeBMaT technologies

09.04.2021

For next three years, the Lublin University of Technology (PL) will spend nearly PLN 43 million on creating a research center for pro-environmental and energy-saving materials and CeBMaT technologies. Over PLN 36 million is a grant from the Smart Development Operational Program 2014-2020. The rest will be covered by the university from its own resources.

A year ago, the CeBMaT project was included into the so-called Polish Map of Research Infrastructure, which was created on the initiative of the Minister of Science and Higher Education. It brings together infrastructures with the highest potential for scientific excellence, combining research potential in areas important for the development of science and the country.

-Our center will be the only research unit in the region that will conduct research in the field of energy, environmental engineering, material engineering and the engineering of opto- and mechatronic systems necessary to control technological processes – said Prof. Wojciech Franus, Vice-Rector for Science at the Lublin University of Technology.
