Medical University of Lodz invites high school graduates who want to become military doctors

23.02.2018

Until May 15, 2018, the Military and Medical Faculty at the Medical University of Lodz waits for applications from high school graduates who want to become military doctors. There are still around 120 places. After studies, each graduate will be provided with a job as a medical officer in the military health service.

In addition to learning subjects typical for the medicine studies, cadets will also participate in military activities. They will gain knowledge about marine, tropical medicine or bioterrorism and defense education. Students are also required to practice in military hospitals and clinics throughout the country.

In the military education system, there are currently two models for acquiring future military doctors. The first is recruitment of civilian, already educated medics for a three-month officer study. It takes place at the Land Forces Academy.

The army also educates its doctors – during six-year stationary medical studies at the Military and Medical Faculty of the Medical University of Lodz. At present, there are 367 cadets there, including 165 women.
