The Medical University of Warsaw (WUM) will carry out its largest investment. A Medical Simulation Center (CSM) will be established for PLN 131 million.

In a modern building at Pawiński Street, in Warsaw’s Ochota district, there will be rooms of high fidelity, the operating room, delivery room, intensive care rooms and a pre-hospital care space with an ambulance, as well as technical skills rooms. Students will be able to practice sewing wounds, applying dressings or doing catheterization. There will also be rooms for medical communication classes with the participation of a simulated patient.

“The center gives them the opportunity to make mistakes in safe conditions. Students can look at what they did wrong, correct the mistake, remember it well and avoid making it in the future. The second issue is the possibility of learning in interdisciplinary teams”, says Dr Marcin Kaczor, CSM project manager.

The contract for the construction of CSM was signed by the Rector of the Medical University of Warsaw, Prof. Zbigniew Gaciong, Jolanta Ilków, a quaestor of the Medical University of Warsaw and Piotr Kledzik, the president of the management board of PORR SA – the general contractor of CSM.
