Rector of the Medical University of Wrocław, Prof. Piotr Ponikowski and acting President of the Medical Research Agency (ABM), Dr Radosław Sierpiński signed an agreement finalizing the project of establishing a Clinical Research Support Center at the Wrocław university.

The Medical University of Wrocław is one of 10 organizations in Poland selected in a competition organized by the Medical Research Agency. Dr Sierpiński, when signing the contract, said that the number of clinical trials in Poland is not small, but the recruitment of patients may be a problem. The funding granted by ABM will support centers all over Poland in this process.

– This is the first step in a long-term strategy. We are talking about a network of centers for a reason – we want to create a large Polish brand together. In the next steps, the Medical Research Agency is planning to hold competitions dedicated to the units forming the network, because it can bring both guarantee quality and success – says Dr Sierpiński.
