Przemysław Czarnek, the minister of education and science, took part in an international scientific conference devoted to the diversity of the legal culture of European countries. Among the invited guests there were representatives of the world of science and politics from Poland and Italy.

The aim of the conference was to discuss the cultural and legal diversity of European countries and their role in shaping the value system of European legal culture. The subject of the event was related to the identity crisis in Europe and contemporary geopolitical challenges such as the war in Ukraine, the energy crisis, and migration processes.

“The system of public international law has crumbled before our eyes. The persistence of Russia as a permanent member of the UN security council is a disgrace in itself”, emphasized Minister Przemysław Czarnek and added that international law must be based on values. “Once again, we must build on the foundations of the values that underlie the Europe as we know it today”, he concluded.
