Minister of education and science grants scholarships for 215 outstanding young scientists

Przemysław Czarnek, the minister of education and science, awarded scholarships to 215 outstanding young scientists, including 37 doctoral students. For 3 years, they will receive support in the amount of PLN 5,390 per month.

The winners were selected by experts representing all scientific and artistic disciplines. The Minister of Education and Science will allocate nearly PLN 42 million to finance the scholarships.

This year, 1,719 applications for a scholarship were submitted. The applications were assessed by the Advisory Team for the evaluation of applications for scholarships of the minister of higher education and science for students and outstanding young scientists using the point method – within individual disciplines of science and art.

Most scholarships were awarded to young scientists reported by: Jagiellonian University in Krakow – 19 scholarships, University of Warsaw – 14 scholarships, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń – 11 scholarships.
