Minister of Education and Science offering scholarships for students with significant achievements

432 students will receive scholarships from the Minister of Education and Science for significant scientific, artistic or sports achievements. Rectors provided Minister Przemysław Czarnek with 944 applications for a minister’s scholarship for significant achievements for the academic year 2021/2022. They were assessed by a jury that consisted of 47 members representing all scientific and artistic disciplines.

The Minister of Education and Science decided to award 432 scholarships including 404 scholarships for scientific achievements and 28 scholarships for artistic achievements.

The largest number of scholarships was awarded to students nominated by: the Jagiellonian University – 51, the University of Warsaw – 40, the Silesian University of Technology – 28, the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń – 26, the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań – 23.

The amount of the scholarship is 17.000 PLN. Winners receive financial support in one payment. In total, in the academic year 2021/2022, the Minister will allocate over PLN 7 million for scholarships.
