– We are liquidating part-time PhD studies. It is often drawing money from PhD students. We leave PhD schools run on a daily basis with the possibility of studying for free – said Piotr Müller, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher education, in the “Controlled Talk” program on the air of Radio Gdańsk.

Deputy Minister Müller explained the assumptions of the Constitution for Science to the listeners and announced that the reform would cover all PhD students with scholarship system and would abolish the habilitation duty. He also added that for the first time after 1989, the law makes provision for the additional financing for regional universities. “We allow universities to be financed by local governments. We do not reduce funds for universities, “- added Deputy Minister.
