The National Science Center (NCN) has started a special program for researchers from Ukraine. Scientists fleeing the war will be able to continue their work in Polish scientific and research centers. The budget of the program is PLN 6 million.

The program is aimed at Ukrainian scientists as well as all other scientists, regardless of their nationality, who have taken refuge or shelter in Poland after Russia’s aggression against Ukraine. About fifty people will be able to use the initiative. The National Science Center will finance their annual stay in Polish academic and research units and will provide funds for remuneration and research.

The program is addressed to people who have at least a PhD degree (in the Ukrainian system – Candidate of Science) and who worked at Ukrainian universities and other research centers before the outbreak of the war. The program covers basic and applied research.
