The Open University of Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University (UKSW) in Warsaw organized the transport to Ukraine of over 120 tons of food and medicines from France, Italy and Switzerland in cooperation with Ukrainian universities in Lutsk and Khmelnytsky.

For over 10 years, the UKSW Open University has been conducting educational activities in Ukraine as part of the Cathedral School established in cooperation with the Lutsk diocese and supports the poorest inhabitants of Volhynia.

Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, the University has engaged in humanitarian aid for the victims of Russian aggression. Thanks to partners from France, Italy and Switzerland, over 120 tons of food, medicines, dressings, blankets, mattresses and cleaning products were transported to Ukraine.

The distribution of aid on the Ukrainian side is done by volunteers from the University of Lesia Ukrainka in Lutsk and the University of Khmelnytsky. The Open University of UKSW also cooperates with the Franciscans and Caritas of the Lutsk and Zamość-Lubaczów dioceses working in Ukraine.
