15.07.2020

Opole University of Technology has signed a contract for the implementation of the project “Advanced Light Technology Design Center” as part of the Regional Operational Program of the Opolskie Voivodeship. The project is worth almost 8.5 million PLN and it will allow the purchase of modern, innovative equipment for the created laboratories.

Aging of materials will be analyzed in Opole. The period of research often lasting 30 years, thanks to the new equipment will be reduced to several days. Researchers will look inside the materials, examine their morphology, and it will allow to assess cracks and temperature resistance.

As part of the project, the university will purchase aging chambers and microscopes that will allow testing of various materials. Measuring machines will allow scientists to assess the accuracy of devices that are produced in the automotive industry and the aviation industry. The center will be used mainly for industry, but also for teaching purposes.
