PhD student from the University of Zielona Góra to complete implementation doctorate

19.11.2021

PhD student Wojciech Dronia in cooperation with Waste Management Plant in Marszów created another implementation doctorate under the working title “Mechanical removal of pollutants from bio-waste” at the University of Zielona Góra.

The aim of the project is to solve the problem of removing pollutants from selectively collected biowaste as their content in the waste is usually high. They make it difficult to effectively carry out composting and fermentation processes and to obtain composting with parameters that allow it to be used economically as a result of these processes.

The task of the doctoral student will assume to develop technology, design and build, on an industrial scale, to make an installation for cleaning biowaste at the Waste Management Plant – a modern installation processing waste supplied from 22 communes (approx. 200 thousand inhabitants) of the Lubuskie Voivodeship.
