Polish Academy of Sciences to hold “Brain Week” conference Achievements of neuroscience in the 20th and 21st centuries

On October 19-24, 2020 Polish Society of Naturalists Copernicus, Department of Biology and Cell Imaging of the Jagiellonian University (UJ) in Krakow, Department of Brain Biochemistry of the Institute of Pharmacology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN), the Committee of Neurobiology of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Center for Promotion and Communication of the Jagiellonian University are organizing the “Brain Week” online.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s event has been moved from the original spring date to October 2020 and will be held online under the slogan “Achievements of neuroscience in the 20th and 21st centuries”.

The organizers are inviting participants to six lectures conducted by eminent specialists in the field of neurology: Dr Marta Obara-Michlewska (Institute of Experimental and Clinical Medicine, Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw), Prof. Jolanta Barańska (Institute of Experimental Biology, Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw), Dr Grzegorz Kreiner (Department of Brain Biochemistry, Institute of Pharmacology, Polish Academy of Sciences, Krakow), Dr Joanna Chłopicka (Department of Bromatology, Faculty of Pharmacy, Collegium Medicum, Jagiellonian University, Krakow), Dr Małgorzata Zawadzka (Institute of Experimental Biology PAS, Warsaw), Dr Małgorzata Kossut (Institute of Experimental Biology, Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw).
