18.11.2020

Scientists of the Electronics department of Wrocław University of Science and Technology, together with researchers from China, will carry out the project “Development of new technologies for early warning, prevention and control of hydrogen sulphide leakages in refinery areas”.

The aim of the researchers is to find and develop innovative technology for effective monitoring and elimination of hydrogen sulphide spills in the petrochemical industry hazardous to the environment and human life. The project will be implemented in cooperation with Xi’an University of Science and Technology, China National Petroleum Company (Research Institute of Safety and Environmental Protection, CNPC) and China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation.

Scientists received almost PLN 2 million for the research from the National Center for Research and Development (NCBiR). Funding was granted as part of the 2nd Polish-Chinese bilateral competition for joint research projects organized by the NCBiR and the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China.
