Polish innovation in the treatment of arrhythmias

One electrode inserted into the patient’s heart instead of two used so far. This is how the ablation procedure will change with the innovative MiniMax electrode developed in the Polish company Medinice by Prof. Sebastian Stec.

Due to the built-in 3D mapping system, the electrode is adapted to perform heart ablation procedures without using X-rays.
Ablation, or the method of treatment of cardiac arrhythmias involving the insertion of an electrode through the artery or femoral vein to the patient’s heart, was first carried out in Poland in April 1992 by Prof. Franciszek Walczak. Since then, the technology of the tools used in the procedure has been constantly improved.

New technology can improve the safety of the procedure and shorten its duration. The first patients will use this method at the end of the year as part of a clinical tests.
