Polish research teams awarded in the CHIST-ERA competition

Four research teams from Poland won competition organized by the CHIST-ERA network – European Coordinated Research on Long-term Challenges in Information and Communication Sciences & Technologies.

162 international research groups submitted their applications. The jury selected 17 projects for funding. Winning projects that will be implemented with the participation of research teams from Poland include:

SAI: Explainable and Social Artificial Intelligence. Polish team leader: Prof. Stanisław Józef Matwin – Institute of Computer Science of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

WATERLINE: New solutions in the field of data assimilation and data transfer for the improvement of hydrological models and forecasts. Polish team leader: Dr Eng. Przemysław Jerzy Wachniew – AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow.

INFORM: Interpretability of deep neural networks for radiomics. Polish team leader: Dr Neo Christopher Honghoon Chung – University of Warsaw.

XPM: Explanatory methods for predictive maintenance. Polish team leader: Prof. Eng. Grzegorz Jacek Nalepa – Jagiellonian University.
