Polish science to play a key role in the energy transformation process

12.04.2021

On April 8, 2021, the National Center for Research and Development (NCBR) and the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management signed a cooperation agreement for the development of green technologies in Poland.

The aim of the agreement is providing joint activities aimed at increasing the efficiency of resource management, the development of pro-ecological and environmental technologies and the transformation towards a low-carbon and climate-neutral economy. The implementation of tasks will be based on the co-financing of scientific research, development and implementation works.

-Polish science will play a key role in the energy transformation we are facing. We have a scientific background and resources to develop innovative solutions, but we need cooperation at the level of both business and public administration for applying these solutions in practice. The agreement signed today is the first step towards the comprehensive development and implementation of environmental innovations – said Przemysław Czarnek, the Minister of Education and Science.
