Polish scientists received EMBO Installation Grants

The European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) has announced the winners of the prestigious EMBO Installation Grants. The eight scientists awarded with grants include three Poles.

EMBO Installation Grants are grants awarded to researchers who are at the beginning of their research career but already have significant achievements. The funds are intended for researchers to establish their own laboratories.

Grants were awarded to:

Dr Kinga Kamieniarz-Gdula, Adam Mickiewicz University (UAM) in Poznań to create a laboratory at UAM.

Dr Michał Wandel for the creation of a laboratory at the Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN).

Dr Piotr Gerlach for the establishment of a laboratory at the International Institute of Molecular Mechanisms and Machines of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw.
