Over 460 prospective students of Polish origin will receive scholarships from the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) as part of the General Anders Scholarship Program for the Polish Diaspora for BA and MA studies. In the coming academic year, they will be able to start their studies at Polish universities on specially prepared courses.

The program enables young people of Polish origin (of Polish nationality) and holders of the Pole’s Card to study at universities in Poland and to improve their knowledge of the Polish language. It is addressed to the Polish community all over the world. In this year’s program, 1,518 applications were received from people interested in studying in Poland. NAWA awarded scholarships to 462 people who will be able to study at a university of their choice in Poland.

-The General Anders Scholarship Program for the Polish Diaspora plays an important role in maintaining the ties of the Polish community and Poles living abroad with Poland. I am glad that the program is popular among young Poles. It responds to many needs of the Polish diaspora – said Prof. Wojciech Maksymowicz, deputy minister of science and higher education.
