Pomeranian Science and Technology Park Gdynia to launch an ultra-modern information board

02.11.2020

Employees of companies located in the Pomeranian Science and Technology Park Gdynia are testing an ultra-modern information board made of e-paper. The EPIS (E-paper Passenger Information System) installed at the reception desk in one of the Park’s buildings displays the current timetable of the Tri-City Fast City Railway.

The e-paper technology allows for extremely fast content editing, as well as reading information at any angle, regardless of the lighting. The most important feature, however, in contrast to the solutions available on the market is characterized by an extremely low energy consumption of 0.2 W. It means that it can be powered all year round by energy-saving batteries with a capacity of only several dozen ampere-hours.

The authors of the solution are engineers of the company MpicoSys, which created the largest e-paper information wall at the headquarters of the United Nations in New York.
