Poznań University of Medical Sciences receives a subsidy for improving the treatment of children with cancer

The Poznań University of Medical Sciences will implement the project “Improving the quality of care for children and adolescents with cancer in the Greater Poland Voivodeship through the reconstruction and extension of the building of the Clinical Hospital in Poznań and purchase of the necessary equipment.”

Over PLN 21 million from the university’s grant awarded by the Board of the Wielkopolska Region will be allocated to the extension of the hospital building. The new premises will include: a general anesthesia room, a neonatal care room, a laser therapy room, rooms for psychological support, a rehabilitation room, children’s common rooms, social facilities for parents and care- takers, and a seminar room.

The necessary equipment, medical apparatus, technical devices and rehabilitation equipment will also be purchased. All this will contribute to a significant improvement in the treatment and diagnostics of children with cancer.
