Prof. Józef Orczyk receives an honorary doctorate from the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH)

The Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) held a ceremony to present Prof. Józef Orczyk, Professor Emeritus of the Poznań University of Economics and the Poznań School of Banking, with a doctor honoris causa degree.

“Professor Józef Orczyk reflects the Warsaw School of Economics, and in particular the College of Economics and Social Sciences, which takes a multidimensional and interdisciplinary approach to social issues, combining economic sciences and financial issues with public policy. Similar interdisciplinarity can be found in the Professor’s biography”, said in his laudation the promoter of the honoris causa doctorate, Dr Paweł Kubicki, Professor of SGH.

Prof. Orczyk graduated in history (1962) and pedagogy (1963) from the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and in economics (1965) from the Higher School of Economics in Poznań.
