Professor Piotr Lorens becomes a candidate for the deputy executive director of the UN Habitat program

Minister of Foreign Affairs Jacek Czaputowicz proposed the candidacy of Prof. Dr. Eng. Piotr Lorens from the Gdańsk University of Technology to the position of the deputy executive director of the United Nations Human Resources (UN Habitat) Program.

– “Professor Piotr Lorens is an excellent specialist in urban and development planning, and his skills and experience make him a great candidate for this demanding position. I am convinced that his extensive knowledge, professionalism and enthusiasm will be an extremely valuable contribution to the program’s activities.” wrote Jacek Czaputowicz in his official letter to Maimunah Mohd Sharif, UN Under-Secretary General and Executive Director of the program.
UN Habitat is a UN agency dealing with rational urbanization and sustainable development of urban centers. It aims to improve the quality of life of slum dwellers and to provide people with access to clean drinking water.
