Prof. Przemysław Kotyla, MD, Head of the Department of Internal Medicine, Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology at the Silesian Medical University, has been elected to the Quality of Care Committee – European Alliance of Associations for Rheumatology (EULAR) for the term 2023-2027.
Prof. Kotyla is the only Pole participating in the work of this prestigious committee, and his election is an expression of recognition of the scientist’s scientific activity in the field of European rheumatology, the university reports.
The Quality of Care Committee is the most scientifically respected committee within the EULAR structures, and its task is to help patients with rheumatic diseases. The Committee achieves these goals by creating and implementing diagnostic and therapeutic recommendations in rheumatology, creating guidelines, and classification criteria for rheumatic diseases.
