Researcher from the University of Wrocław receives Gloger Award

The Jury of the XXXIII Zygmunt Gloger Competition awarded Professor Agnieszka Matusiak from the Institute of Slavonic Philology at the University of Wrocław a prize and medal for her significant contribution to popularising Eastern Slavic culture and building Polish-Ukrainian cooperation. 

The prize is awarded by the Stanisław Zagorski Press Association ‘Stopka’ in Łomża in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and the National Centre for Culture”.

Agnieszka Matusiak – a literary scholar, Slavist and professor of humanities – has worked at the Institute of Slavonic Philology since 1998. From 2008 to 2013 she also worked in the Department of Ukrainian Studies at the Jagiellonian University. Her research interests include Eastern Slavic literatures and cultures, gender studies, memorial and trauma studies, postcolonial and decolonial studies, and Jewish history and culture in Ukraine.
