Researcher of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań receives the Edith Stein Award

Prof. Anna Grzegorczyk of the Faculty of Anthropology and Cultural Studies of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, director of the Edith Stein University Research Center received the Edith Stein Award.

The prize is granted by the Chapter of the Edith Stein’s Award and the Director of the Memory and Future Center (in 2019 and 2020). Prof. Grzegorczyk received it for co-creating the Research Center in Poznań, many years of scientific and research activity devoted to the life and writings of St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross (Edith Stein) in Poland and abroad as well as popularizing her spiritual heritage, compiling and editing numerous publications devoted to the saint patron.

The Society established this award in order to deepen, understand and popularize the rich spiritual heritage of Edith Stein – Saint Teresa Benedicta of the Cross, Jewish philosopher and Carmelite nun proclaimed Co-Patron of Europe by Pope John Paul II.
