Researcher of the University of Silesia in Katowice wins the Polish Intelligent Development Award

Dr Agata Daszkowska-Golec, scholar of the University of Silesia in Katowice, Vice-Dean for Research Promotion and Internationalization of the Faculty of Life Sciences of the University, was awarded the Polish Intelligent Development Award 2020 in the category of the scientist of the future.

The award was given for the implementation of the projects “Translational genomics in identifying the mechanism of action of the CBP20 signalosome in Arabidopsis and barley response to drought stress” and “Advanced tools for intensified and sustainable barley cultivation in the face of climate change”.

The award is granted to innovators, investors, organizations and individuals for activities that, in particular, affect intelligent and sustainable development of life. The prestigious award is recognized by both the scientific organizations and business. The award emphasizes the contribution of the winners to technological and social innovations that raise the standard of living.
