Dr Joanna Kurowska – Pysz, WSB Academy in Dąbrowa Górnicza will implement the project “Crisis in the Turów mine and its impact on Czech-Polish cross-border cooperation: evaluation, conclusions and recommendations”. The research is financed under the Intervention Grants program of the National Agency for Academic Exchange.
The research problem concerns the impact of a conflict at the national level (between the governments of neighboring EU countries) on integration and cross-border cooperation at the local level. The main aim of the research is to identify the impact of the dispute over the Turów mine on integration and cross-border cooperation in the Polish-Czech border, especially in the Euroregion Nysa.
The project will be implemented by 3 partners with sufficient potential (knowledge, experience, resources) to conduct research efficiently and achieve the planned goals. The project leader will be the WSB Academy in Dąbrowa Górnicza, and the partners will be the Technical University in Liberec and the Jan Evangelist University in Usti nad Labem.
